I really liked this game (played the 0.0.2 version). Combat feels a fluid and nice to use. The animations and scenes are pretty nice as well. My only gripes are the pits in which I've admittedly fell into several times, and at certain points I dont really know what to do and get lost. Otherwise, I really like this game and the 0.0.2 demo and cant wait to see the full project.
So, first of all I loved the two version of this game, I played both and I'm going to tell you all see some pros and cons (in my opinion). Beware there are some spoiler...
The first version: Pro
The grapichs: I love how the character seem alive, and is design.
The enemies: I love how the enemies interact with you and that when they capture you it's animated
The background: I like the background, It feel like a honest rpg game.
Cons
I don't like how the character walk too slow.
The room are too dark and something is boring how big they are.
Miss some extra contents like some item that are not necessary for the story but nice to find out: like weapon etc
The text is small
The inventary when opening is too much slow.
The last version:
Pro
You become your enemie: I love that you become a drone at the end, and capture another guy. Love it
Cons:
Sorry to say, but the enemies, the grapich etc etc where better before.
Honestly enjoyed the tendrils update! I really liked the change in art style, though the previous version did have better map design (in terms of puzzles, visual intrigue and interactivity.) The combat in this new update feels a lot better than the previous version, though it's still a little rough around the edges.
From a gameplay perspective, I think adding more fluidity to the movement and combat would make it feel a lot better, along with the ability to attack up and down again (idk why that was removed). Mashing seems pretty strong, so maybe y'all could experiment with limiting how many times you can swing in a given time period instead of the hard cooldown used in the previous version? But since that's pretty limiting, adding more dashes could make up for it- allowing for hit-and-run gameplay. Another cool idea would be messing with how the enemies move. Instead of having them walk at you at a constant speed, maybe give them telegraphed burst movement as well? Like if the drones jumped at you after staying still for a second. Just ideas for thought.
Overall, I really loved this!! I'm excited to see where to project goes! Y'all are doing a great job :D

With Tempting Tendrils, we focused more on changes to combat and the art style, as it's quite different from the first demo. We already have some ideas we want to experiment with, thanks to all the feedback we've received. There’s still a long road ahead in terms of gameplay and content, but we’re making good progress.

tried the tentacles update, i have to say, version 1 in the castle was just better all around, hope you guys decide to go back to that game design since it was better in everything, from combat to puzzles to the grapple mechanics.

Love the ideas so far! Also really like the progressing messages with repeated game overs. I'm assuming the demo doesn't go past !ERROR! though. Past that. I like the idea of progressing bondages such as the slimes and stuff. It seems they only get you stuck for the mashing game though. WOuld be nice to see some variance on that. As for the hypno stuff, I would love to see that expanded in ways. More mashing to think straight and perhaps the qtes altering to trick you into pressing the wrong buttons as you fall into the hypnosis more.
On another note, shame there was no special scene for walking into the slime dragon head directly. Felt like there would be something there for complying.

Game doesn't work. Nothing I do on the keyboard does anything. It even says it has controller support, but the only key that works on my x-box controller is the start button, which closes the game on that adult content warning. It is unplayable.
Sorry you are having trouble running the game. Can you provide more information about it? The Demo is certainly playble. I tested it on keyboard, ps5 and xbox controller and they all worked fine. We even had people from our Discord test it on xbox 360 and it still worked.

I am also having this issue, I open the game on windows 10 and cant get past the 18+ warning screen. my esc key will cause the game to exit. No other input from the keyboard is recognized.
It's interesting but that last big room was a nightmare to deal with. Part of it was curiosity sure but I find it really hard to predict those eye traps for starters. Sometimes they're consistent and sometimes they're just random af. Still, demo. I guess just make it more obvious when those things are going to go off? I dunno. I'd like to see where the game is going so hey.

There's a Bug?Is it normal that when I first encountered the eye monster, I lost the battle, Suddenly there's an error? And I can't do anything normal afterwards.The pressure plate didn't react at all when we moved giant stone.
The room after the chase sequence is rather big. You are supposed to go to the opposite from where you start. There is a room where you get locked inside. Thats where you need to go :3
It's neat for a demo, and fun. My only complaint is that it doesn't really line up as a TF game. Drone, incasing suits, more along the lines of something ' Bondage '. There really isn't any TF in here.

It lets me look at the game but when I try to install it it won't let me pick anything for "install" and says that their is not 'build' of undefined. It has a drop down but is blank so it is not letting me pick anything for that field causing the error.
It's a version without the lightning system. If your system is having trouble running the normal version you can try running the one without lightning.

Seems like for the 0.0.2 zip version can't me launched via the itch app page, but going into the files and clicking its shortcut does.
How do you beat the first boss, it says a well times attack will work but I can't figure out when I need to without doing minimal dmg.

You have to hit it with a skill when it lowers its head to attack. That makes the boss more vulnerable afterwards.

well simple. everytime i click on launch. instead of loading the game, It Straight up cut off and Not let me have the chance to try or Play.
Is your antivirus software blocking the game from being launched? This might happen with games made in GameMaker.

After coming out of the cave by the lake, placing the pillars on the pressure plate has no effect, or can I go somewhere else?
Placing the pillar spawns the enemy for the grapple preview.

Would you mind telling me what keyboard you are using? It probably has to do with the E key not getting recognized then.

Do you mean the eye enemy that spawns when you solve the puzzle? Thats just a teaser for upcoming content

You can download either. One is an installer file. But you can also just download the zip file and not install it.

I think that's an issue with itch.io. Sometimes it just doesn't feel like launching games and you've gotta open up the .exe directly
