You take the role of Kaelin, an adventurous fox that is part of an Eborian special unit tasked with retrieving rogue Ebonshapes. These latex-like sentient beings, created by Eborians, are able to assimilate and transform other life forms. To prepare for these missions, Kaelin undergoes regular training inside a simulation. The game takes place during one of these training sessions... but Ebonshapes are not the only entities for Kaelin to be catious of within the simulation.
The gameplay in Altered happens in real-time as the game uses action combat. Kaelin is able to manipulate the latent magic around himself, using it to his advantage both in battle and puzzle-like scenarios. With new abilities waiting for you to be unlocked and used to progress. During his time inside the simulation Kaelin can be the target of both physical and arousing attacks. If Kaelin gets too horny he is going to be subject to enemies grabbing him for some more fun.

It was incredibly fun, but I'm not sure if I missed anything. I couldn't find the broom, and it felt like nothing happened after defeating the flower boss in the second world.
Hey there! Thank you for playing. You can check which endings you missed by unlocking the debug room. You can find it by collecting three of four green crystals hidden in the mansion level. The broom can be found in the room with the sleeping kobold.
I got all the cursed equipment on, is it supposed to do something special?
Having all three equipped and getting hit should increases your corruption bar. Once filled, it triggers an ending.
It's been a while when you have decide to make this project. I wonder if there's rough road map how long it may take, cause I'm still waiting for the story of Tibo...🥺

How do you solve the puzzle with the 2 empty statue stands in the west part of the garden? I tried standing on the plates but staying just transformed me
hey there. There is no puzzled tied to the statues. You can reach the chest in the middle without solving any puzzle. Take a closer look at the water surrounding the chest. Maybe there is something barely visible that might help you ;3
I love the gameplay and having to figure out that to do, my fav part of a game.
I stared fresh to try and get the debug menu. I got the key before defeating Wagbert and now whether I win or lose against him I don't get the werewolf xform.
Love all the details in the game, I'm looking forward to the next release.

Though, I am curious how you got the key before fighting Wagbert. That should only be possible by using the debug commands. And these tend to break some parts of the game x3

man i have just finished playing timberwoods and it was so fun it took me 2 hours to complete and i wished there was more to it but i see where some of the ideas for this game come from i hope you somehow reuse some of the characters XD

What specs are required to run the game (vulkan version, openGL version, drivers, etc.) bc i was able to get this to run once, but now it doesn't even open
Oh we are sorry to hear that! That certainly shouldn't be the case! In fact, we managed to reduce the load of the game in the last update!
System requirements aren't really that high. As long as the system comes with some GPU performance it should run fine (e.g. it runs on an old MS surface 6 (win10))
Are there any error messages or other steps/programs that could possibly explain why the game is not starting?

does anyone know what to do after you get the first floor key in the mansion? i went back to the start of the mansion and used it on the locked door, beyond that i have no idea what to do, otherwise im enjoying it very much so far
It sounds like you already did every available content so far. Currently only the first floor of the mansion is playable. There might still be the debug menu for you to unlock, where you can view all the possible endings. For that you have to find 3 of the currently 4 available green crystals hidden inside the mansion and have low corruption. (you can clear corruption by buying an item in the garden shop)

ive been trying to find the last green crystal outside in the garden and i cant seem to find it anywhere also how do you get to the chest in the middle of the garden? :3
There is no green crystal in the garden area. However, there is one in the room with the portal back to the HUB after you fought Wagbert. When it comes to the chest in the middle of the garden area: you might want to take a closer look at the water surrounding the chest. You might notice something unusual ;3
I must be really missing something, because I cannot get through the manor. I've explored the map half a dozen times, upgraded my skills, fought every monster save for the big boss when he showed up one time in a hallway, and I'm stuck behind locked doors and that one room with the movable block. Can someone tell me what it is I'm not thinking of?
Most of the doors on the first floor of the mansion will be unlocked once you get the key from the garden area. Did you already fight the first boss? You can find them to the right of the room with all the little slime enemies. This will then lead to the garden where you will find the key.
I definitely haven't made it to any boss. Is that the room with the eyeball on the pillar? If so I can't make it past the pits there. There's the moveable box in there that I thought I could use to make a bridge or at least dash through, but neither of those options have worked.
You can use the orb skill to move the pillar from the right side to the left to activate the pressure plate which makes the platform move.

I must say that this is an absolutely amazing game so far, love the art, animations and the different things that can happen to your character depending on which enemy you get defeated by but I am currently in need of a bit of help in progressing through the game. I have the first floor key which I gained from the dragon boss in the mansion garden and I went through every room after getting the key but I can't seem to find a way to progress, I even managed to get the 3 cursed items. Have I missed something or have I reached the current end point that the game is currently at? Also, I have defeated the large plant boss in the other world/area but since it's not there anymore, is there a way to view the endings that it gives?

Thanks for letting me know about the debug menu, I'll see if I can go and find those crystals then. On a side note, what is the purpose of the corruption or has that not been implemented into the game yet?
Corruption alters some dialogue and gives an ending when you go for the debug menu with too much corruption.
Man, why do all the good games have to be gay... I know that's kinda the target audience and all, but a female playable character would be pretty cool too. Obviously that'd take an unreasonable amount of effort for the sake of one comment, but hey, just felt the need to share my opinion, as unrealistic as it is lol.
I understand that gay content might not be for everyone, but we are thankful to hear that you think our game is good. <3
We just feel more comfortable in doing gay content and even if we would want to include a female playable character it would be a lot of effort to produce seperate content for it, like you said. So we decided to keep the game m/m focused, I am sorry. x3
I made the mistake of equipping one of the cursed items before giving items to the kobolds as the slime transformation. Am I missing something, or did I just softlock myself?
You are not softlocked. You can remove the cursed items by buying an item from the shop in the garden area

There's definitely a lack of direction at times that makes you re-explore areas multiple times. However, once you have a base understanding of the game, it's easily overlooked.
It's one of those games where you want to get the ending (and the secret ending), but also get the bad ending from each entity you face off against.
The scenes it featured are incredibly hot and I hope there's more updates to come.

Navigation can be an issue, I agree, and we are still thinking about adding a map to the game, though we want the players to get lost for a bit :3
But we also try to limit branching pathes to a minimum, so to not make it too confusing. And since we are still learning with every content you can expect improvements in future updates.
Thanks for the reply! I definitely agree on getting lost. Once I understood the game and how you (in my opinion) pretty much wanted to get defeated by almost every entity but also go for the ending. Getting lost made no difference as I always had something to gain, like new transformations awaiting me.
enjoying this game so far, though i am curios about where the third cursed item is, i currently have the adorned brooch and silken cloak and have no clue where the third might be
Hey there. You can find one by completing the puzzle in the dining room, you get one from the kobold in the kitchen asking for an apple and the last one by delivering a broom to the kobold in the garden.

Sorry, there is no android version and we currently do not have any plans for it, as it would take a lot of work to make it work on android.
Really loved everything in this game! Especially love the kobolds! But I cant find the broom for the kobold. Would love to have someone tell me where it is as I've been finding it for a good while aaaaaa
Glad you like it. The broom is in the servants room where one of the kobold is asleep. There is a secret wall to the right. :3

Is there a way to attack upwards or downwards?
No, you can only attack to the left and right. This is by design to make sprite work a bit less time consuming.
Thank you for making Altered, it's such a nice gem of a game. The kind of corruption/submission TF sequences (writing, pixel art, animations) are really well executed and I really appreciate the love you've put into this game.
The variety of enemies and their themes is working wonders for the game.
The kobold shenanigans really surprised me positively because it felt different - all cute and kobold level silly.
Can't wait to see what's next for Altered in the future, please make sure to take breaks and never sacrifice health for making video games <3

Am i the only one who's save deletes instantly after quitting the game? Like game resets itself as if it wasn't touched before.
This is most likely a windows permission issue. It probably blocks the game from creating save files in your AppData folder.
I didn't have that issue with previous version of the game, so what should i do? open with administrator? or turning off windows security?
You should be able to give folder access to the game in your windows security settings.
it seems to be the issue with instaler version of the game, when i reinstalled it with zip everything is fine as it should be
I was able to view the full transformation scene with debug room but had a hard time finding the curse items from the kobold quest. I kept seeing the broom one vanish when I got close and I don't think I ever saw the other one. Which ever one I did the items stayed in inventory. Maybe add a system to keep better track and even possibly better hints or something to find them.
You need to be transformed in order for the kobold not to disappear. The other kobolds for the cursed items can be found in the kitchen area.
How many cursed items can you find in the current version? Love the game btw ^^
Hey! There are 3 cursed items in total. Two of them locked behind kobold quests and one can be found in the dining room.

Loved the Kobold additions! Especially for pins 1 and 3. Something about the pin being silly levels of weak for 1 Kobold, and ramping up with more Kobolds was super fun.

How do you get the silken cloth

Not sure if it's been reported or noticed yet, after being triple teamed by the kobolds and transformed, I played through the game over scene a bit as a maid kobold and, once the bar was about 3/4 full, I hit tab to skip to end of day. The cutscene played out, then I was transformed back into the fox, but stuck in the kobold rooms, unable to interact with anything.
hey there. I had a few people report this bug already, but I am still lacking information on how to reproduce it. I did several test of the kobold ending and was not able to trigger this bug once. So any kind of information about this helps.

It's fantastic work! I especially enjoyed the Ravus Corruption, and the aggressive kobold mobs, and the new miniboss. The playable post tfs stellar as well!
I do hope we'll get more time in the desert level one day.
